Last few days have turned out to be busier than I was expecting…
Tuesday I was at the Smackdown tapings. You might’ve seen a short kid with a blue Kaientai shirt in the lower right corner of your screen now and then. That’d be me… Wednesday night I was writing Sailor Nothing. Saturday I have a movie party to go to and Sunday is a birthday party, then Monday is work straight through to Friday which is the beginning of Otakon (I will be there, and at the fanfic panel, if not ON the panel since I’m an evil renegade fanfic bastard none of the upper echelon likes. Or they just don’t need me on the panel. Or something. Last few times I was on the panel Gaffney kept talking over me and I got very little in, anyway. But I digress.)
Tonight, I was planning to kick back and relax, but two things happened.
One, and I have NO clue why nor do I really want to find out, my Dad went ballistic. It was tres bizarre; he rarely blows up and yells and screams and acts like a little child, but he did tonight. Rejected the dinner my Mom was making for him, announced he was in a bad mood, and so on. I don’t get it, and with the good roll I’ve been on with my life lately, he can keep his drama to himself and calm himself down without me around.
Two, fortuantely for me, Josh was home early from the beach and invited me to his place to watch the Smackdown I was at. (It’s pretaped.) I was going to leave at 7, but given the mood in the house, I said “Fork this for a bag of starkers” if that means anything and left around 5:45. Meant I had to climb up his front porch since I forgot to call ahead, but it also meant a fun evening in with my friends. Watching Josh mark out for the Rock was pretty fun, too, and I got to see Andrew again. He’s growing a beard which looks a bit like Vince Russo, but less scraggly. Tres cool.
Fun nights are fun, but it does mean by the time I got home, I had no time to do anything of importance. No writing, no RPing, just some mild webwork moving my music to sandwich.net. Then off to bed, off to work, work, and THEN home and some free time. …christ, I am awful about time allocation. I’ve got no concept of just rolling with it, everything has to be allocated and measured and metered, even my fun time. Ugh.
Well, tomorrow night should be free. No plans, no social calls. Just me, games, writing, and music (although making music is on hold until I get Acid Music 2.0, which is a step up from MG2). Might get some Sailor Nothing done, if I can bring myself to face it again. That’s the hard part; not WRITING it, but SITTING DOWN TO write it.
