Viola. (lit, ‘This is a violin’) Draft complete. Comment in journal. I’m particularly keen on how Meiko is working… we got more of a look into her character, and since she’s usually so reserved it’s been hard to express her character until now. Lorelei’s totally open, so she’s easy, and Kisei uses precisely measured comments that make her clear while being mysterious… but Meiko’s been avoiding Mallory for a reason, and as a result we haven’t learned much about her. Hopefully this scene will help… if I can’t ‘sell’ my readers on the character, then I’m in deep Lucy poop. ^_^;
Update, 10:30 AM: Remember my webcounter stats? Here’s more fun stats from my site logs.
The most visited page in the last five months is the Really Big Button That Doesn’t Do Anything (121k). Next most visited are the ‘Nude Gallery’ chain of disclaimer pages of Spatula City which eventually lead to a picture of Mr. Duck (each page ranges from 30k-10k of hits). I want to delete those out of spite and to save bandwidth, but they are technically part of a ‘frozen’ website…
Next up is the root directory of Pixelscapes (14k+5k hits), Slayers Trilogy (8k+7k), my Al Bhed Translator page (13k), Unreal Estate (11k), Spatula City (9k), Diastrophic Dwarfism Help Page (5k), Ah My Hentai (3k+1k), Slayers Demiurge (3k), Sailor Nothing (2.9k), and various others and singles.
In a perfect world, my most popular stuff would be the stuff I’m proudest of. We do not apparently live in a perfect world. I’m happy with Trilogy, but frankly I’ve improved a hell of a lot as a writer since then and my original works are more satisfying… and I’m going to be hearing about the Really Big Button right until the day I die, won’t I? ;_;
