Okay, I scrubbed the previous political entry to consolidate journal postings. It can be found after this public service announcement!
- 2Forum is updated! Thanks to the 4 of you who sent in entries. To the others… well, if you don’t care, obviously don’t send anything. If you do, send something!
- What ho, the Sailor Nothing Fanart Page is updated! I FINALLY got around to clearing out some old mails in my box about this. Generally I like artists to focus on my current projects… but who am I to turn down a voluntary donation of time and energy and fandom? Enjoy!
- But don’t feel left out, because the Unreal Estate Fanart Page has been updated as well. Lots of great stuff; keep it comin’!
- Heck, there’s even a little bit more to my MAME Cabinet Page, including scary photos of my dad.
MAD PROPS to all the artists who contributed to these fanart pages. Too often I get the credit and the praise, but these guys crafted something with their own two damn little hands, and they deserve a big ‘ol pat on the back too. Feel free to sing their praises in the comments, I’m sure they’d like that. :) Or e-mail them! Wai. Anyway… on to politics.
Here’s a link you can send your parents and your uncle and your football quarterback pal who may not understand the threat this thing presents. It describes it all in fairly normal language; it gets slightly technical but does express the scope of the problem, and lays down the truth about this most recent revision of the SSSCA. We have more details on how it’s gonna go down… and how the states will effectively firewall themselves from the rest of the world with it, unable to communicate with ‘noncompliant’ software in other countries.
I’m praying that the Senate realizes how utterly impossible this thing is. But I’m not sure they care, not after implementing the impossible DMCA.
