A much lengthier and far more interesting journal update was posted yesterday, so check that out too.
UE09 is officially outlined. I stalled and stalled and finally 20 minutes before bedtime I hammered it out. It won’t be a really LONG episode, but should be a sweet, good-hearted exploration into Eiko’s character. I won’t promise it’ll be accurate to how kids her age really are, but that’s one of the themes of the episode, so that works…
I also worked on some background music for the upcoming UE radio play (see previous post). Did Mellow Fellow’s theme (using a kind of loopy-annoying reggage sample, but..), music for the opening bit with Mallory rebooting the engine before the house drops, music for Mallory pondering his future at night (this one has potential as a stand-alone track) and a little ‘Bright lights, big city, clueless farmboy’ bass driven track for Urbana. None are available for download yet. Not sure how much of this we’ll actually end up using, but you never know, and I can take the raw material and rework it into a non-UE song if not. What I have now got rave reviews from my seester, which is k3wl.
No Tough Enough tonight, so I might actually get some writing done on UE09. Time will tell, stay tuned.
I think my allergies are acting up; I’ve sneezed seven times today. The heat is Oppressive, and it’ll be thunderstorming later. Work still stinks. Joy. Still, I’m in a decent mood; creative progress’ll do that for ya. Tired and dehydrated, but decent.
