…and more often than not, my character crosses it when she steps foot into the Underground Temple section of my NWN module. Ghack. I don’t get it, the other areas are cakewalks for my Lv4 Barbarian + Above Average Equipment. But once she starts tangling with Bugbear Elite and Goblin Elite it all goes to hell.
I’d hate to just toss in more plain Bugbears and plain Goblins; those things are like cutting through tissue paper. Hrm. Gameplay balance issues… something I’ll just have to learn about as I go.
I LOVE GAME DESIGN. It’s been so long since I was able to make a game… Pong Kombat was the last, really. I tried Culture Shock but like so many other attempts, I didn’t have the resources to pull it off. Now I do have the resources and it’s like going to Disneyland after a ten year hiatus! Whoo! So, um, pardon UE being put on pause. I’ll probably resume it once I have Module #0 and Module #1 done. (#1 is 90% done, #0 is a static town area, not too hard.)
I made a webpage for the campaign… very preliminary, nothing to download yet, and the world info page currently only exists on the back of a Learning Tree course page scribbled out in ballpoint pen. I’ll get that up ASAP but in the meanwhile, try clicking on the little portrait in the upper left. Fun! Looks a little too dramatic for the Slayers-style approach I’m using, but then again, the Slayers-style approach dictates your comedy must evolve into intense drama near the end, and that’s what I’m doing.
I’m very thankful to Bioware for giving me something to look forward to after a day of annoying, frustrating, idiotic corporate buzzword ideology. Waiwai.
