No reason to use that as my title, except to point out that it’s still funny. Just because some folks overused it doesn’t make what was funny about it in the first place suddenly un-funny. Ahem…
Had a fairly good day yesterday! Work was annoying, but not evil and frustrating. Rented Devil May Cry and Legends of Wrestling for the four day weekend; beats the heck out of buying them.
Rather than Smackdown, I sat down with Jen and Andrew to watch Love Hina v3 (a big hit with the locals) and the Ah My Goddess movie. If you recall, I went ‘eehh’ the first time I saw it — now that I’ve got a second viewing under my belt, it’s not as confusing or incomprehensible. The philosophy IS laid on pretty thick near the end and the mysterious plan of Celestin isn’t made totally clear, but it was easier to follow what was secretly going on after I knew how everything turned out. I do wish they had explained what that giant tree chopping monster was supposed to be, but otherwise it worked and was a lot of fun.
Haven’t watched Read or Die yet. I have episode 1, but the other two haven’t finished Kazaaing; they’re pretty rare finds. I’ve had my computer on for two days now. If anybody has them, could you be a dear and hop on kazaa with them? If I like the anime, I promise to buy the eventual DVD — much like I’m doing with FLCL and Comic Party. Divx is cool and all, but I want something ARCHIVAL.
And for the record, from the previous thread: My plans for ReRolled are now to include boygirl, girlboy, and girlgirl romance subplots. I’m still iffy on boyboy. And before anybody assumes ReRolled will be a grand epic romantic journey, please note that these are basically subquests and won’t culminate in anything really impressive; NWN’s stateless plot tracking and multiplayer capability make anything more than what I have planned very, very hard. ^^; As is, some jerk could pass the ‘love token’ object to another person and BAM the NPC loves him/her instead… nothing I can do about that! If the whole campaign was ONE module, it’d be easier, but then you’d have to wait months for me to finish it before you could play. I doubt that would be a popular decision.
This weekend is gaming, Penultima, maybe some writing (I haven’t had a free evening since the last UE update!) and hanging out. Relaxing. After that, my USB lightgun FINALLY arrives and I’ll probably tweak the MAME box, which I’ve left idle for weeks. I’ve got tons of files to move over to it and I need to redo my frontend program, which is why I’ve been neglecting.
And… that’s it. Off to work for me.
