Okay, three updates of note for UE tonight. And I’m lucky I got these out, I was in a tired, drained mood all day (as my last post indicates). Was worried I wouldn’t have anything to show for myself at the end of the day…
Titles: I updated the index page to have the titles for the next episodes. I’ve got a more solid gameplan now; this could still change, but right now, it’s looking like it’s stable. One thing I won’t be doing that I had originally planned was to harp on the Open Realty vs. RealWare angle… it’ll still be there, I still have something to say, but not in the form you might expect. Nothing obvious like having RealWare be the evil omnipotent force and Open Reality saves the day, I mean, jeez, weak, obvious, etc.
UE10: The Lurve has been adjusted. I wanted to have Mallory be a bit more unsure instead of blurting it out so quickly, as folks like Lira noted. I think this works. It’s still a bit much but it’s less of a bit much.
UE11: Yes! We have two scenes! Well, I got it in my head and just had to get it out after that. Folks who are wondering where the hell the uberplot of the series went, well, it’s back, baby. In fact, other than UE12 (which will be a ‘slice of life’ run with the various characters), it’s all uberplot from here on out.
I could do more ‘filler’ episodes… you know, ones which don’t touch the uberplot but have wacky antics and adventures. If this was an anime I’d want more. But I’m one guy writing this and I can’t spend forever on this project. But do not fret, for you cannot play guitar! And because the ‘character arcs’ are largely complete, or will be complete by the end according to my gameplan. So any ‘filler’ would just be putting off the inevitable. Characters have grown, found things important to them, made important life changes, etc. And Lorelei and Kisei still have some more to go through. (Eiko I’m pretty much done with… I know it’s not much, but I think for her, it works.)
Okay, off to bed, then back to the job. Wah. At least my ribs aren’t bugging me. I’m surprised about that, but there’s no pain. (That could just mean it’s waiting to jump me by surprise like it did on monday. Wah.)
