…here’s one of the many examples why web polls / quizzes drive me freaking insane.
I. YOUR FIRST KISS:
a. How old were you?
I haven’t had one yet.
b. Where did it happen?
I haven’t had one yet, dammit.
c. When did it happen?
Leave me alone.
d. Who initiated the kiss?
I said leave me alone!
e. Was there a second kiss with that same person later?
II. YOUR FRIENDS LIST
a. Ever dated anyone who’s in your LJ Friends list? Who?
b. Would you consider dating anyone on your LJ Friends list? Who?
Damn near anybody. Except maybe Lurker.
c. Have you kissed anyone on your LJ Friends list? Who?
d. Based on all the things you’ve read in their journals, which of your LJ Friends do
you think is the most romantic (apart from yourself)?
Lostboy, Dae, Delfina.
III. THE BEST TIMES
a. What were the circumstances of the best kiss you ever shared with anyone?
Oh god, just shoot me…
b. Briefly describe the best date you ever had.
If by ‘best’ you mean ‘only’: It was postponed four times, consisted of one movie, and ended with a discussion of surgical procedures.
c. What’s the longest dating relationship you ever had?
Two hours and twenty minutes. Well, it was a long movie.
d. What’s the most romantic gift you ever gave anyone you were dating?
IV. THE WORST TIMES
a. What were the circumstances of the worst kiss you ever shared?
This would imply that I’ve had more than one.
b. Have you ever done something stupid that caused a relationship to end? If so,
I don’t think it counted as a relationship in the first place.
V. OTHER ROMANTIC STUFF
a. What’s the most romantic season?
Winter. It’s cozy and warm inside, and fun outside. If I could actually, you know, walk in snow or do anything except fall down and whine pathetically for help since I can’t stand back up on my own.
b. What’s your favorite romantic movie?
Natural Born Killers.
…okay, seriously, Princess Nine. It’s an anime, but unlike other animes the girl does not constantly physically abuse the boy and neither of them die a melodramatic, tragic death. Plus it has some great stories about friendship, rivalry, and more that just make ya feel fuzzy-good inside.
c. Who is the best leading man in romantic movies?
George Clooney, since he’s usually playing very casual-minded sorts who are funny without being silly, practical without being pedantic, and charismatic without being melodramatic. I like that. Call it the Kevin Smith Guide to Romance.
d. Who is the best leading woman in romance movies?
Janeane Garafalo. See George Clooney for why, but replace ‘he’ with ‘she’.
e. Who is the most romantic TV couple?
I don’t watch a whole lot of TV lately, and nothing I do watch really rings my romance bell. I did enjoy the Spike Dudley / Molly Holly romance from two years ago in the WWF, though.
f. What’s your favorite romantic song?
“Sexy Motherfucker,” by Prince.
Failing that, I really like the theme song to Edward Scissorhands.
g. If you could take a boy/girlfriend to any country in the world for a weekend of
romance, what country would you choose?
Japan. Provided I could speak the language and didn’t have difficulty with their non-ADA compliant archetecture.
h. If you could describe the key to a good romance in five words or less, what
would it be?
“Don’t give in to desperation.”
