Enough about that mess from yesterday. Lol admitted to being a troll, thus dashing any tiny shred of justification he might’ve had, so who cares? And I’ve already posted replies to Momi and Ghallant I feel detail my position in a reasonable manner, so case closed. Unless it reopens again.
Feeling a wee bit pressed for time this week… I’m almost thankful my stomach/bowels acted up and I couldn’t get much sleep last night, since I can telecommute and do the Hodge Podge editing I haven’t had time to do in between assignments for work. I should be able to squeak in under the wire on everything that I have scheduled up through monday now, and next week should be a lot easier on me.
Since I have little else of value to post today, I shall do a CD review: Denis Leary’s “Lock and Load.” It’s been out for a long time but I only managed to get my hands on it this holiday season — I can’t justify spending 18 dollars on a CD, ANY CD (but will subject friends and family to the burden, indeed). If you’re a fan of his standup routine and loved No Cure For Cancer, this album’s good… but only half as good. That’s because it’s only half standup.
The other half are oddly serious / weird spoken word bits or ‘broken radio’ segments, and some songs that don’t even come close to reaching the heights of NCfC’s songs (exception: Life’s Gonna Suck). The comedy on here is good but the rest? It kind of throws the pacing off and injects a very awkward note into the affair. I’m thinking of ripping to MP3 select tracks and just listening to that, though. All hail consumer rights to manage purchased media AS WE SEE FIT!
…anyway maybe I’ll have something more interesting to post tomorrow, after tonight’s HodgePodge campaign session.
