I just could not assemble something in Acid that worked for me.
I needed something that was
B) Guitar driven,
C) Short (1:00 to 1:30)
And frankly, Acid just sucks for guitar beyond a rockabilly, Don Henley, Jazz / Blues / Country level. They flat out do not make goth guitar loops. They don’t even make Clear Channel style “alternative rock” guitar loops. It’s just cheery, upbeat audio pap.
So I drop “guitar loop wav” into google, pull up a random page, pick a random song… and THAT’S IT. That’s exactly it.
The page had a “Hey, use this freely for anything you like” disclaimer but I’m getting in touch with the guy anyway just to doublecheck. If it works, it’ll add a nice little scene to ReRolled #4, which is starting to gel together in my twisted brain.
For the curious, if you don’t mind spoilers, it’s this song. It may not seem like much, but it fits the scene I need perfectly.
Update: This basically means I’m not going to do the lyric-driven song mentioned in my last post. If the copy of this song was in a higher qual I might’ve added some lyrics, but it’s not really suitable for mixing; and the guitar-solo aspect really WORKS for what I need to do in the story. (It’s being played by a young prodigy of the dark bardic arts, so it has to express that musical style first and foremost.)
