I’m looking right now at a 90% complete design spec for PR5 – The Saving Throw. To the players, it’s far from done (especially if they haven’t gotten in testing for PR4) but to me, it’s almost over.
The journey I started almost a year ago is coming to a close; I’ll be finishing the last Penultima module HOPEFULLY within a month. There won’t be any more campaigns after that — maybe a handful of one-shot modules as time allows.
I really hope I can do justice to the series. I think I’ve wrapped all plotlines, brought back key elements to study them from new angles, and provided an apocalyptic enough climax to be worthy of the term ‘Grand Finale’.
After that, I’ve already declared UE, and there’s the one-shots I mentioned, and maybe something with the cynical anime cliche concept you guys have been helping with in the previous posting. Who knows what lies beyond? I’ll be working on SOMETHING, though. I gotta create.
But for now, this is a closing. All that’s left is actually implementing the design doc, which is a fun process, but is still mainly nuts ‘n bolts technical detail. It feels kinda weird to be finishing things up, but all good things must come to an end… (…hopefully in a less weak way than TNG did. And DEFINITELY better than Voyager did. Geeeh.)
