Final boss encounter done. Last two sections are the post-victory celebration (like the one at Pax Ultimat in P#5, basically a lot of chats, but complicated by the romance quest possibilities) and the epilogue (where you find out what happens next to your character; sort of a ride off into the sunset dealie). I’ve even finished the docs and the walkthrough.
I might even be done tonight. That’d be sweet. The Vault takes a day to update, so it won’t likely be downloadable yet, but it’d be good to have this out before the weekend.
One thing it will NOT have is Kristen’s bonus artwork — you’ll have to wait for the final version in 1.5 to 2 weeks for that. This is, after all, intended for playtesting. But I’ll give playtesters the unlock codes needed to access the art, so they can keep it handy for when the final comes out.
It’s so close I can taste it. Or maybe that’s just my toothpaste. It’s too damn early to be doing intensive federal work…
Update: Finished. Other than a little polish and Kristen’s bonus art, the game is ready to go and needs playtesting. NWVault should have it online soon; I’d put it on Pixelscapes so the LJers can get a head start but I’d prefer to keep my bandwidth bills down.
