Yet more random bullet points for my journal. I’ve been doing a lot of posts like this lately.
A long time ago I did an album. It consisted of all my MTV Music Gen 2 tracks, Acid Music tracks to date, and the soundtrack of Unreal Estate. Total, it was maybe 45 minutes of music.
I compiled up an album last night consisting of all the music I’ve done since then, which is the remainer of my Acid tracks, the two songs for Penultima ReRolled (PenCity and PassGate), the ‘final mix’ soundtrack for Elegia Eternum and most of the Fist of Discomfort soundtrack, dropping one song I’m gonna be reworking anyway. End result? 80 minutes of music, completely filling the CD.
That’s a lot of music I’ve done. I’m quite proud of that; for someone with no formal training and no skill and no talent I’ve got nearly an hour and a half of quite listenable music goin’ on here. I’m thinking I may burn a few extra copies and bring them with me to Otakon; if I do, I’ll give ’em out to any LJ readers who stop me and ask for one. It’s much better to hear them in CD audio format than as a compressed MP3, and the extended versions of the EE / FoD songs are quite nice.
Saw Matrix again last night, along with Josh, who claims to have read the script. I picked up a handful of Revolutions spoilers off him, don’t know if they’re facts or not but they’re sound and make sense with the film. We’ll see how it all pans out, but I don’t believe it’s going to be a smooth ride, given how uneven this one was. Which is fine; as Julio said, “Dude, it’s KUNG FU JESUS VERSUS COMPUTER GUY,” which really puts things in a cheerfully stupid perspective which you can properly enjoy.
As noted in the last two entries, I have a four day weekend ahead and plan to hammer out some FoD levels. Now, here’s the question: is anybody interested in a one-level demo of the game posted to NWVault? It wouldn’t have any speech and would be about 5-6 megs zipped, though. Is that too much hype and you’d rather wait for the full one, or would be a good buildup / way to test out the system? I’m not sure…
