The commute to work today was made very awful by the Seattle-like weather which has been hanging over suburbia for the last two weeks. Rain, rain, rain. Two lane highway which was never designed for this kind of massive wave of cars, packed to the brim with commuters, stop and go all the way to work. Four miles in a half hour, jeez… what a mess.
In happier news, though, as noted in the last post UE11 is done. Huzzah! I was surprised so many of you posted so soon after I got it up, in some cases a few minutes after I got it up. I guess the fanbase hasn’t withered away to nothingness in the nine months I slacked the hell off and alienated you all. Feel free to continue feedbacking on the prior thread or even here; LJ is a bit of a pain in that regard, but hey. I’m going to start outlining UE12 tonight and maybe getting a scene or two done; it’s planned to be a set of 3-4 ministories, each centering on a character. Kisei’s will be very critical for me to carry off in a convincing way — how many of you would believe me if I said she hasn’t killed a single person since being employed by Meiko?
Miniminireview of Final Fight One for GBA: It’s Final Fight, but the gameplay feels a bit different. Combos are slower, the grab range is MUCH shorter making Guy very hard to play… the stages are a bit more simplified, too. Wah. But it’s enough of the original to work out okay, so I’ll give it a B.
Now on to the unenviable task of balancing FoD development, UE12, and my gaming. Although the writing will get a bit of a boost when I go to the beach for a week at the end of this month; peaceful surroundings, nice climate, and a laptop. Bonus.
