I’ve never been to London. I’ve done a hell of a lot of research to try and present a fast-forward, victorian-rewind version of London… building the new on top of the old and then making it old again while keeping it new. I may have gone a bit too far in my scene-setting expository paragraphs, but considering I barely set any scenes at all in past writing of mine, that’s probably a step in the right direction.
This is going to end up being a pretty large chapter. Which is surprising to me, since I was worried it’d be too short; only three things of note happen (Chloe’s revival, they visit the student underground, and then the big caper). Apparently I had a lot to say, regardless. Go figure.
Posting this one sliiightly early, because I want to ‘unlock’ the file for writing up my Sunday update in advance. You may as well reap the benefit of that.
So, how’s the story workin’ for ya so far?
EDIT: I’ve expanded and reworked the Down Street scene quite a bit, but I’ll have to wait to post it on Sunday along with new scenes. Still, all the content that you see now is still there even in the upcoming draft, so feel free to comment on it all.
