While we’re waiting for the next chapter of the Floating Point saga, let’s check in with my other major obsession: arcade games.
I’m the proud owner of a custom arcade cabinet, an upright coin-op game machine. But unlike other arcade games, this one has a PC buried in its beating heart, one capable of emulating hundreds of different games.
Recently, I’ve started posting YouTube videos to my personal channel detailing some of the nitty gritty of how this rig works. It’s like a model train set or a really elaborate Minecraft build, you wanna show it off to people, even if it’s a huge pile of deep geekery. My first two videos were kinda poopy, but I’ve been getting better, and I’d like to start sharing them with you on this blog.
My first two (good) videos are:
- The Arcade Tour and Overview
- Duck Game – Arcade Game Cabinet Review
- Street Fighter V – Arcade Game Cabinet Review
Little by little I’m improving my craft at video making, and I’ve got several more planned. If you’re interested in more, let me know, and subscribe to the channel. Thanks!
