So, sometimes I stream myself playing various games on Twitch. Let’s go down the basics for newcomers.
Q: What games do you primarily play? and are you pro esports mlg yo?
A: My mainstays are Team Fortress 2, Hearthstone, and Minecraft. I am not claiming any particularly impressive level of skill in them. I try to be entertaining to make up for that. Also I’m keen on clearing my massive, MASSIVE Steam backlog, so let’s plays of indie games or adventure games may be forthcoming.
Q: Are you a professional streamer?
A: No, not really. I do this now and then for fun. I’m not making this my second job or building a brand or naming my fans “bros” or anything. But if you want to follow and drop by to watch, feel free!
Q: When do you usually stream?
A: I don’t have a set schedule, but if I am streaming it’s usually between 6pm and midnight, Eastern.
Q: Can I donate to you or subscribe to your channel?
A: I’d rather you go check out City of Angles, my ongoing fiction series. Also I have books for sale! Sometimes I even livestream writing them.
Q: What’s that stuff behind you?
A: I’ve gotten into the habit of collecting various geeky figurines and collectibles and made a trophy case. The ones behind me are my least embarassing ones. The poster is of Robot Carnival, an excellent and artistic anime film from the 90s.
Q: Whoa, you’re short! / What’s wrong with your hands?
A: I have diastrophic dwarfism and am a “little person.” Yes, like the ones you see on TLC. First and foremost I’m a gamer and an author and entirely too old for the Internet; being a dwarf is pretty low on my list of noteworthy traits. But, when I have my webcam on it’s quite obvious, so I figure I may as well explain.
Q: You suck / you look funny / ha ha look at the nerd / midget / whatever
A: There are any number of other streams you can watch. If you like, I can put the boots to you on your way out the door. Thanks!
