The Campers of Tribal Alpha

One of the many tribes of Tribal Alpha, the Campers survive by cunning rather than skill. They are masters of amassing ph4t l3wt (good equipment), having worked for generations to study the game systems and find their weaknesses.

The most common exploit of the Campers is to track the location of 'respawn points,' where either 'fragged' players re-appear (just in time to be fragged again by a Camper sniper, in a process known as 'cherry picking') or where good equipment appears periodically. The ServOps populate the landscape with weapons and health-restorative items through these respawn points.

However, to keep the best equipment rare, respawns occur very infrequently. Campers track the time between respawns, staking out a point as long as it takes to obtain the item. This is why standard camper equipment includes a pup tent (for sleeping in, in shifts) and a smokeless cooking device for making coffee. Campers are also identifiable by their uniforms, which range from 'Camper Scout' to 'Camper Troop Leader'. The uniforms are color-camoflagued to whatever quadrant they're active in, to allow for safer stealth camping and sniping.

Campers are regarded as annoying l4m3r5 due to their underhanded tactics that exploit the system rather than achieving victory by playing the actual game. Campers themselves tend to see Tribal Alpha for what it is -- a giant, pointless game where those who know these tricks can prosper just as much as the whacko players.
