NullSpaceIf the multiverse is everything, NullSpace is nothing. Of course, nobody's ever seen NullSpace, since by definition it is that which does not exist. Scientists theorize that since we have various realities in the multiverse and these realities tend to have fixed sizes beyond which stuff gets very fuzzy and unsafe, that means there must be a NullSpace, or absence of reality. Did that transient's building just careen off with a faulty engine and vanish forever? Maybe it fell into the NullSpace, common paranoia goes. It's not provable, but where else could it have gone? Since it's impossible to prove the existence of something that's the absence of something except by inverse, NullSpace becomes more of a cultural construct after you get beyond the basic definition. "I'll put your ass in NullSpace if you don't have the money by friday," for instance. |
