Restless

Restless is a reality that specializes in being a transitional point for people who need somewhere to stay for a short period of time. There are high end hotels and even condos for rent, but most folks who need to 'get away from it all' ('it all' usually being the local law enforcement back home) usually stick to the run-down sidebar motels.

The high end hotels come with all the trimmings... Video Network Sets, daily housekeeping to turn down the sheets and add fresh towels, and room service that can deliver everything from pancakes to porterhouse steaks. There's always a swimming pool (with jacuzzi), a game room, and sometimes even a tennis court.

The lower end motels skimp out on these extras, and then some. The best you can get consists of a dinky, obsolete RealNet Messaging terminal in every room, housekeeping that would add some delousing powder to your sheets if you bribed them heavily enough, and the potholes in the nearby public lot would make excellent swimming pools if filled with heavy rain. And yes, it rains quite often in Restless.
