SubUrbana

If Urbana is the brutally businesslike city sprawl, then SubUrbana is the peaceful and safe residential sprawl that acts as its foil.

Businessmen and women who work in Urbana typically find housing in SubUrbana. Nobody wants to LIVE in Urbana; only the lower totem pole workers like janitors and barbers and the cops actually work there. The crime's too high to raise a family and you wouldn't want to be on those streets after night. So, every morning the masses make the commute from SubUrbana to Urbana, and every night they return, leaving Urbana a nearly abandoned wasteland of lower-rent persons who merely get underfoot.

Unpleasantness aside, SubUrbana truly is a paradise. The weather is always climate, and only rains at periodic times to water the grass. Excellent public education can be found there. Shopping malls are certainly in abundance. They do rely heavily on outsourcing for food production and other needs, since SubUrbana has maybe 25% of a working ecosystem and no farms of any sort, thus takeout food from other realities is quite popular.

Like Urbana, there are a large number of docks, but they're more oriented towards commuters and delivery folks than towards transients. Transients are not wanted here; the SubUrbana paradise is strictly for those who go through the daily grind of Urbana life.
