Meiko has one overriding goal in life : to achieve a financially
secure future for herself and her little sister. They weren't born
into money and have had a hard time in life, but Meiko is the sort
to pull herself up and work hard for her future; whatever it takes
to get there that isn't morally repugnant, she'll do. She's self-taught
in many areas of business and does have a natural sort of charisma
as a leader and a negotiator, but unfortunately her people skills
outside the workplace aren't up to snuff. She can be quite abrasive
and abusive and defensive and all sorts of other bad Ives. It's not
that she's a mean person, she's just really not good at dealing with
others and tends to react sharply to things. When she has some quiet
time, she prefers to spend it by herself enjoying a good book, or
playing with Eiko even if she's not very comfortable with kid's games.
(Which makes her rather jealous of / angry at Mallory, who gets along
just fine with Eiko.) Also of note is her Personal Temporal Assistant,
a pocket organizer that can dimly see into the future and write your
daily schedule for you. HOW it does this isn't known, and it never
got beyond the prototype stage and was given to Meiko as a personal
favor by its inventor. |
