Normalizers
(The Society for Normal Reality)

The society is dedicated to hunting down Reality Adepts (or in their eyes, 'Abnormals') and killing them. Abnormals pose a threat to reality as we know it; all it'd take is one powerful abnormal with a meglomaniac bender to cause drastic upheaval and chaos. And since absolute power corrupts, no active abnormal can be trusted. They must be eliminated in order to protect our way of life.

The society was started by a mysterious fellow named Mortimer Fallsworth. An unassuming, soft spoken young man hovering around twenty years of age, he dearly loves reality and doesn't want to see it unsettled by the monsters in our midst; how he learned about them in the first place is a bit of a mystery, but he trained the first hunters in use of Engine diagnostic equipment to determine if other humans have the same signature as a Reality Engine, making them potential adepts. Hunters then observe the potential, spying on them and keeping detailed files on their personal lives -- and if at any time they bear witness personally to a use of their power, that adept is marked for death by any means nessecary.

The society keeps under the radar of RealWare. Some might think that exposing the hidden threat to the public at large would be a good idea -- but they trust RealWare about as much as they trust an adept. RealWare would likely exploit adepts, using the banner of corporate secrecy to spawn even more abominations for who knows what purposes... it's better if the society keeps this secret quiet, until the last adept is gone. Only then can they breathe free air.
