RealNet Workstation

The highest end RealNet device is the Workstation. Workstations are personal computers (although all file storage is done across RealNet on RealWare servers) capable of handling any documents, printing, communication, bookkeeping, and so on and so forth you could need done. Businesses employ hundreds of high end, sometimes customized workstations. Common folk typically use cheap ones designed to browse nodes, watch video, listen to audio and do some messaging and that's it.

Workstations are a good all in one solution for the needs listed above. Why have five gadgets and boxes to deal with when you can get it all in one place? It's not as portable, but that's a small price to pay for the kind of flexibility you get.

Rumor has it the Open Reality Movement are also working on their own Workstations which aren't as dependent on RealNet. They have a clunky, difficult to use version that's primarily designed to run renegade nodes, but more user friendly ones will be ready when someone gets around to making them and they can figure out what color to make them.

You cannot destroy RealNet. Since there's such a wide range of devices that access it, you can define Workstation hardware however you like.
