New readers — welcome! This blog is where I set up feedback threads for the latest draft story in progress. Right now I’m up to story #6. You should probably start at story #1, though.
Current readers — Time for some wacky police sting antics with the Wei Sisters. Yep, you’re getting it a day early again, ’cause I’m ahead of my own schedule!
This is the setup, of course… the rather horrific punchline comes next week. Or does it? It’s kind of a brutal finale, and not at all appropriate for posting on Dec 24th, just before the day of family togetherness and gift exchanges. Which would you rather see, 006’s finale, or a holiday-themed short story and then 006’s finale the week after? I’m curious.
I’m getting a few new readers thanks to the ads I’ve been taking out! I have access logs (big brother is watching) so I can tell that at least a few people who click through are reading 001, sometimes 002, 003, etc… good. Good. More eyes on the story the better, especially if I’m seriously considering some kinda crowdfunding for the book later.
Anyway, sorry to leave you on a massive cliffhanger. Got any guesses as to what comes next? How about guesses as to what that half-heard conversation was really about?

Montgomery was saying that he had to increase the dose of NF to have Bedlam appear in waking dreams. However, he wouldn’t need that once her “influence” was “amplified.” Then, you can “commune” with her without issues.” Also, there’s more supply at other facilities. So NF is a drug that is used to induce Bedlam into waking dreams/nightmares, which causes cubism. The more Picassos that are created, the more chaos is introduced in into the city, the more power she has, and the more the way is paved for her.
If the bad guys are smart, they’ll just guinea pig the sisters.

I do want to know what happens next. I doubt it’s a showdown, but I really hope that Vivi and Marcy make it out non-picassoed… T_T
Plus, it will help me put my worries to rest.
Also, this story gives me more interest in Fi. I wonder what her story is.
I shall be quite cross with Marcy if she gets Vivi into too much trouble (though it looks like the sisters are in deep over their heads)
One reason why I fleshed Reggie out a bit more in 004 was so I could eventually do a story with Fi and Reg, the poet pals of Cass. I knew her story would largely take her outside her comfort zone but that I might need them in the future. That paid off as I used the slightly underdeveloped Fi to show that she moves in unexpected circles and has unexpected cares (being one of the few to show to Gee Bee’s funeral) despite being so aloof.
