New readers — welcome! This blog is where I set up feedback threads for the latest draft story in progress. Right now I’m up to story #7. You should probably start at story #1, though.
Current readers — You know those crummy anti-piracy ads in front of movies in theaters ordering you to either pay ridiculous ticket prices and five bucks for popcorn or go home? Most of the time I choose to go home. So do Dave and Kelsey, in today’s scenes.
Bit of a short update but I think 007 will be finished next week, so hey, there’s that to look forward to. Also, as posted earlier this week on the blog, Anachronauts: Stars Fall is now available to buy! And I have details about the upcoming City of Angles Kickstarter! So, read that, too.

I like Kelsey. I wish there wasn’t something creepy/Bedlam-related keeping her away from Dave. ‘Cause I actually like Dave now.
Also, Hollister’s new girl? Who is that – Marcy?
Stefan "Twoflower" Gagne says
Nah, it’s Vivi. Dave’s misunderstanding what’s going on there.
I pondered “Why isn’t Hollister hanging out with Dave more? He’s a nice guy,” but realized “Hollister was Dave’s orientation coach and even if he liked the guy, he sees dozens of Daves each month and can’t be deep friends with all of them afterwards.” Just because they’re protagonists doesn’t mean they have to have a perpetual bond.

And speaking as a former social worker, hanging out with clients gets problematic very, very quickly. Something has to happen to equalize the relationship, and usually that thing is time. Which there hasn’t been enough of yet.
Stefan "Twoflower" Gagne says
Yeah, I hear stories like that a lot from my bro-in-law. Hollister already crosses the line of propriety with his social work clients quite a bit (see getting beer for them in 002, etc). In a way that’s his charm, that he goes the extra mile and sympathizes, but it’s a double edged sword. And especially now, with the disaster in 006, he’s buckling down on being a model employee.
