The whole multi-part newspost thing has been working for me so far. Let’s keep that gravy train of content rolling, shall we? Yes, we shall.
Create-a-Thing Challenge
In case you missed it last week, I’ve issued forth a Create-a-Thing Challenge! This goes beyond fanart; I’m accepting fanfic or poems or songs or cosplay or any creative expression of the City of Angles fandom. All participants get free anachronauts bonus stories, and you can enter for a chance to win some free Steam games! Deadline is June 29th, but don’t everybody send in at the last minute.
Anybody reading this right now working on a thing? I’d love to hear your plans. (Partly because I routinely wake screaming at night after a nightmare that nobody’s going to enter this crazy challenge thing of mine, and come end of next month I’ll have egg on my face. So, there’s that.)
Grandma Scarlett Artwork
Thanks to our awesome Kickstarter backers, we’ve got new artwork of Grandma Scarlett. Next up, Milly and Lucas! After that, a preview of the book cover art! The book itself is on track to release in September, as promised.
City of Angles //010 Continues
In which our fugitives cook up a crazy plan to get them off G’s radar once and for all. This is the penultimate update; I was thinking of pushing through the weekend to finish the whole story in one go, but I just don’t have the time with family obligations and all. My plan is to wrap it next week, then lay low for a week planning out //011. See you soon for the big finale!

Digging the Codex redesign.

Yeah, I wanted something a BIT more professional — and something that pushes the original fiction nice and hard. My fanfic era’s a bit embarrassing, frankly. I’m not gonna play revisionist history and strike it from the net but I’d rather folks focus on my own writing first.

I’ve got a couple of different ideas for fanfic, including one idea with original characters looking into the nature of the City’s stars and one crossover idea with Hatsune Miku being echoed in (despite not actually being a real person on Earth).
I’ve got as far as having an outline for the former’s plot. Whether I actually get it written before the end of next month is an open question – my work schedule is a little bit rough right now. If necessary, I can split it into two parts and present the first half, although I’d prefer to finish and submit the whole thing.
Stefan "Twoflower" Gagne says
Hah, interesting! I don’t think I’m going to be able to do a story about the stars, so have fun with that. and Miku is adorable, as always.
