Finally, done.
This was the hardest story in the entire series to write, a close second to //008, but here are the final scenes of //013… the strange incident and what became of it. And yes, the poem is revealed. Well… you’ll see.
The last few weeks have been VERY rough on me. Health issues. Death of a family friend. Getting furloughed from my job in the federal government. I’ve been in a lousy place, and //013 is a dark as hell story that goes to a lousy place of its own. I’d be looking forward to getting to a brighter place in //014, except, well… that one’s not going to be particularly bright, either.
I thought this was wacky YA adventure fiction? I mean, I use cartoon character art, don’t I? Yikes.
I’m curious to hear your speculation; I’ve got a lot of meaty lore bits to chew on in this chapter, things which are new to the series… maybe.
