When we last left our heroes, Lucas confirmed the worst case scenario had indeed occurred… but he seemed oddly okay with that. Why is he so chill about it? Why are his eyes blue? How does this all connect up with the last scene of //013? Read on and find out.
This update’s going up a day early because I’m off to a family wedding tomorrow. Next week we’ll be back to Saturday postings. Although it’s gonna be a rough week for finding time to write, with the wedding and a commute day and more going on. Having this update in the buffer ahead of time has helped because, well, this was a rough week too. It’s rough all around. Making do, though.
I’m pleased to announce that I’ve put in what will likely be the last art orders for our official artist, Allison, to produce for the saga. The covers for the next two books are in the works, as well as official character art for Ellie and Amanda Walker. And, if all goes according to plan, I’m gonna post the vol//003 cover (codename: “Dreamcatcher”) right at the end of vol//002 for additional mind-blowing value.
And if all goes according to plan AND all goes according to plan, the vol//002 book will be comin’ your way in February 2014. That one’s a bit more nebulous but my plan is to have it finished ASAP after the writing is complete, unlike the first book which took considerably longer due to all the Kickstarter stuff and work scheduling.
This time, I’m funding out of pocket. Kickstarter was fun but it’s a lot simpler for me to just Make It So on my own. If you’d still like to help, though, you can always purchase my other books, or even donate to me directly with PayPal (stefangagne@gmail.com). If you’d like to help without spending a dime, you can! Just do your best to promote City of Angles on your favorite blogs, forums, social networks, what have you. There’s a lot you can do to help, is what I’m sayin’. It’d be helpful. Helpfully helpful. Thanks a mint!
