Oh, happy day! Lots to cover, but let’s get the important bit out of the way first.
You can now purchase your very own copy of City of Angles: vol//002 Echoes. You should probably go do that right now. Go ahead. I’ll wait for you to get back. If you’re looking for the Kindle eBook version, that’ll be coming later this week; I’ll issue a short blogpost once it’s available. But if you were waiting for the paperback, well, your ship has come in.
The retail book version of vol//002 includes all the stories you can read online for that volume, PLUS the two bonus stories “Dogs of War” and “Rain of Terror” PLUS author’s notes detailing the writing process on these stories PLUS a bunch of artist’s concept sketches for the artwork. It’s a ton of amazing City of Angles swag, cover to cover, and now it can be all yours for $20. The eBook (coming soon!) has the same content for $8, but you can’t use it as a bludgeoning weapon or put it on a shelf to admire.
So, what else is happening around here? Well, we’ve got new scenes for //018: Soothsayer. In fact, we have All The Every Scenes for 018. Yep, the entire story is now up. It’s a short one so I figured I wouldn’t milk it for three weeks of content. Come see how Cass escapes hell! Assuming she does! Which is not likely!
Lastly, I’ve decided against my wacky-as-pants numbering system for this new volume. Instead of //018.1, //018.2, and //018.3… it’s just gonna be //018, //019, and //020. I mean, c’mon. Let’s get back down to reality here, short or not, these are chapters and should be numbered as such. So, if you bookmarked the story, uh, the link’s changed accordingly. dealwithit.gif
