This is my first indie game with actual milestones and deadlines. While I’m trying to maintain a “When It’s Done(tm)” attitude I did want to make sure we had our best foot forward and that the May demo build ended on a perfect note. That meant crunching to get everything polished up and complete for this milestone. That meant crunch time.
Granted, I wasn’t sleeping under my desk or anything. (I’ve been grappling with insomnia and depression, yeah, but for unrelated reasons.) But coordinating the group writing efforts, implementing scripts, hunting down stray bugs in a nonlinear branching game which has conditional dialogue… yikes. I gotta learn to get into the swing of things if I don’t want to become EASpouse. Err. EASpouse’s spouse, I guess.
Still, the end result is just… sweet. Super sweet. I’m hoping you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it.
It’s not too late to join the club and play the demo build! At risk of repeating myself, contribute $5 or more to the monthly Patreon fund and you’ll be able to dig up the link to the demo. As you’re reading this after May 1st, you haven’t missed the boat on that; you can add or up your pledge and it’ll handle the rest. And anybody who accumulates $25 or more in backin’ bucks during the whole development process will get a full copy of the game when finished!
Finally, let’s talk ways you can promote this thing so I don’t run myself into the floor trying to promote it myself. We’ve got a twitter and a website now! So, tell your friends, let them know. Not much content yet, but it’ll grow.

- Website: http://stefangagne.com/arcadespirits
And, if you’re so inclined, both writers have Twitch accounts and will sometimes be streaming the development and writing of the game. Good way to get sneak peeks.

Okay, back to work. Getting June 2017’s content ready for you. The code train has no brakes.
Thanks so much for all your help. This literally would not be possible without you — yes, you, the one reading these words.
