Arcade Spirits is a game. It’s a real game. It’s really happening.
Okay, granted it was a real game and it was really happening before… but things are accelerating. We’re getting more and more followers on social media, which is a currency worth more than Bitcoin. We’re getting actual press writeups, too! I mean, just look at this:

What’s more, there’s the big announcement for today… we have a soundtrack composer.
Say, you ever wanted some amazing music pounding into your ears that suggests a neon-lit high octane drive into the horizon of the unknown across a grid of infinite possibility?
If so, you’re in luck, because we found a musician who can do exactly that.
Greg Mirles, aka Ammo, has officially signed on to deliver pulse-pounding and heartfelt jams. With several albums of synthwave majesty under his belt and years of video game industry experience we couldn’t be happier to have him on board.
For a sneak peek of the sort of amazing stuff he’ll be delivering, check out the Ammo bandcamp page. (WARNING: Arcade Spirits is not responsible for your inevitable speeding tickets earned when listening to this music while driving.)
Now, this wasn’t an easy decision. We had more than thirty applicants, talented musicians all, and winnowing the list down was a lot like a steel cage deathmatch. I honestly feel lousy that we had to turn some of these stellar composers down. But all is not lost; we’re gathering up names and links and will be posting a compendium of amazing audio dynamite for you to listen to in a future blog post.
Meanwhile, sit back, pop an ice cold Tab, lace up your Reeboks, and skateboard on out into the purple-hued sunset of a neon retrofuture with us. This is happening. This is really happening.
(Oh, one final thing… are you following the Arcade Spirits twitter? If not, you should. We’re adding new screenshots, little ‘fanfic-y’ ones, daily.)
