Today, let me introduce you to our friend Price Johnson, aka Stumpt Price of Stumpt Gaming! He’ll be playing Percy, the warm-hearted arcade scorechaser.

Price Johnson is based out of Portland, Oregon and is a full-time content creator for Stumpt Gamers. Being a full-time content creator means video games are central to everything Price does. Additionally, he spent many a childhood party at his local arcade before it was shut down, so he is right at home in Arcade Spirits. His favorite arcade games growing up were the 4-player brawlers like X-Men, Gauntlet and Sunset Riders. While Price has practiced his voice skills over many years as a hobby, Arcade Spirits will be his official voice acting debut.

For a first time actor, Price hammered it out of the park with this one. Percy’s story called for warmth and sadness in equal measure, and needed a skilled talent to bring it to life. Without a doubt, Price did exactly that. Bring a box of tissues, ’cause Percy’s tale is going to be something else entirely…

In today’s voice spotlight, we’re taking a look at everybody’s friendly and (possibly sentient?) virtual digital assistant, Iris!

Southern California-born and Portland-raised, Stephanie graduated from Gonzaga University, where she studied broadcasting for radio and television. Though she quickly discovered that producing news for TV was not, in fact, what she wanted to do with her life, Stephanie ended up putting her degree (and news anchor voice) to use in other pursuits. She’s produced and hosted several nerdy podcasts over the past few years, including one dedicated to one of her favorite video game series of all time, Mass Effect. There was also a tangential foray into cosplay, and you might have seen some of her creations at various West Coast cons and gaming expos. She’s since made her way to Twitch, where she now streams twice a week as SigmaRue. Stephanie has made brief appearances in local indie film projects and advertisements, and you may have heard her voice in Firefall from Red 5 studios. Stephanie is now firmly rooted in the Pacific Northwest and spends her precious free time hiking, drawing, playing video games, and keeping her cats alive.

She’s been a good friend to Arcade Spirits throughout the project, and we’re thrilled to have her on board. I’m not kidding when I say this is a voice to look out for in the future. She’s going places! And we hope you enjoy her cheerful tones in the role of your virtual assistant, Iris.

In today’s Voice Spotlight, let’s highlight one of the more mysterious characters of the game… a teenager named Sue who shows up in your arcade one day, with unknown intent. And let’s highlight the amazing voice talent behind her…

Danielle McRae is a voice over actress residing in Los Angeles, California. Being a huge fan of video games and anime. Her passion has led her to pursue a voice acting career in the industry. Some of her most notable credits have been in (League of Legends) as “Karma the Enlightened One”, (World of Warcraft: Cataclysm) as “Hagara the Stormbinder”, and “Painwheel” in the Popular 2D fighting game, (Skullgirls Encore). She’s also been in anime such as (Sword Art Online), (Gargantia: On the Verderous Planet) as “Onderia” and (Magi: The Kingdom of Magic) as “Orba”.

We haven’t talked much about Sue yet, since she appears later in the game, and the reason she’s there is a bit of a mystery. But it was incredibly important to me to find a voice talent that could bring her story to life — and we found that in Danielle, who worked with us to find her perfect voice. Welcome to today’s voice spotlight! Let me introduce you to Graham Stark of LoadingReadyRun, who provides the voice of Ben, co-owner of the Hole Story — a combination doughnut shop and second hand bookstore right next to Francine’s Arcade Funplex…

Graham Stark is the co-founder of LoadingReadyRun, the internet comedy & entertainment foundry behind such series as Friday Nights (Wizards of the Coast), Strip Search (Penny Arcade), Tabletop Deathmatch (Cards Against Humanity), as well as the Desert Bus for Hope charity fundraising drive. Among his roles at LRR he acts as a producer, writer, director, editor, and host.

I’ve been a fan of LoadingReadyRun since their earliest days doing sketch comedy before YouTube was actually a thing. I’m absolutely thrilled to have Graham on board to provide the voice to one half of the Hole Story crew, dispensing wisdom and coffee in equal measure.

Welcome to the first of our Voice Spotlights! In each one we’ll detail someone involved in the voice acting production of Arcade Spirits, including producers, engineers, and voice talent.

Today, we’re highlighting the actress behind the voice of the top esports competitor of the Funplex — the confident and commanding QueenBee, voiced by Nazia Chaudhry!

Nazia Chaudhry (Naz) is an accomplished singer, actor, voiceover talent, and educator. Originally from New Albany, Indiana, Naz was a classical violinist and pianist well before her beginnings in opera and theater in her teens. She began her professional career as an opera singer while studying at University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. Since then, Naz continued to succeed from stage to screen, appearing in musicals, operettas, and theater as well as on television, film, jingles and voiceovers. Later, she went on to study jazz voice at University of North Texas College of Music and completed her Master’s degree in Jazz Studies at the Georgia State University School of Music. Just before the release of her debut jazz album, Time After, Naz was honored to be named a Sennheiser/Neumann Authorized Partner for her work as both a vocalist and voiceover talent. Finding the perfect voice for QueenBee was very difficult — but wow did Nazia make it look easy. She had the perfect attitude, the perfect voice, right off the bat. With her help, we really brought QueenBee to life. We’re proud to have Naz involved in Arcade Spirits, and can’t wait to show off more of her acting talent!
