Important Courtroom Drama

It's kind of hard to say why Important Courtroom Drama is so popular. It's a combination lawyer / cop / action / adventure / comedy / romance / scifi / cooking show, and it doesn't do any one of those genres justice. The legal manuvers are questionable, the chase scenes poorly shot, and the jokes fall flat...

But something about it... the way they heap plot twist on top of plot twist, so that you never know what to expect, is mesmerizing. It's a dadaist nightmare vision of the legal profession. You're not quite sure what you're watching, but in the end, it all makes a kind of surreal sense even if it doesn't make logical sense. Some people say that ICD is proof that the media empires of Drome are slipping subliminal messages in their shows to make them act like video narcotics, but the simple truth is that ICD has been so popular for so long despite being so bad that nobody has the nerve not to watch anymore.

The series has spawned a movie, a line of toys, and a breakfast cereal. More spinoffs are likely to follow.

You may not cancel Important Courtroom Drama. And no, it's not actually a video narcotic. But the jury's out on that breakfast cereal...
