Reality Pistols

Any technology can be appied to weaponry. Especially reality engine technology.

The problem is that weapons which somehow use reality technology

  1. Run afoul of RealWare intellectual property protections.
  2. Destabilize the engines of their host realities.
  3. Are so amazingly dangerous and illegal that almost nobody will buy or sell them.

But some folks care not for such dangers, and the most popular reality-based weapon with that sort of lunatic is the Reality Pistol.

It's useless for 99% of the population of the multiverse, unfortunately. The idea behind a Reality Pistol is that it teleports a tiny explosive charge directly into your target. The problem is that in order to get it there, not only do you need to precisely aim the gun, but you have to squeeze the analog trigger JUST far enough to determine the distance between yourself and your target. Being off by a millimeter here or there could result in coming up short, or overshooting. And on top of all that, it takes an hour to disassemble and load a new charge into the gun, which means you had better not miss if you want to live... and firing more than a few times in one reality within a single day could radically destabilize the engine and crash the reality.

So why pack one of these overly dangerous, useless weapons? For the select few capable of effectively firing a Reality Pistol, it's a phenominally powerful tool. Not because of its killing power, but its versatility -- no armor can stop it, it can go through any wall, any structure en route to its target. It bypasses conventional physics and simply makes the target go boom, and fall over dead.

Reality Pistols are incredibly illegal, and incredibly expensive. Keep that in mind when finding a way to plausibly obtain one.
